Wood Fences IN FRANKLIN
Privacy, semi privacy, picket, cap and trim, split rail farm fences, and post and wire, in pine or cedar. Every wood fence is stick built on site, board by board. We also build custom gates as part of many fence projects. If your fence needs a gate that matches it, we build both under one roof.
Aluminum Fences IN Franklin
Powder coated and rust resistant, in modern and traditional profiles. A favorite for pools, keeping a view, and larger properties. It secures the space without walling off the sightline, and it shrugs off weather without the upkeep wood needs.
Fence Repair IN FRANKLIN
Storm damage, leaning sections, and gates that have stopped hanging right from years of use or improper sealing. We will assess and honestly advise you on repairing vs replacement.
Why Heron in Franklin
Because we'd rather teach you than sell you. Before you sign anything, you'll know exactly what you're buying: we walk your property with you, talk through materials and styles honestly, and put everything in a detailed, itemized quote. No vague line items, no allowances that balloon later. Our Fence Handbook exists so you can make a good decision even if you never hire us.
And when the build is done, it isn't done until it passes our own inspection. Your foreman walks the completed fence with an Installation Inspection Checklist before we consider the project finished. That's the standard behind the five star experience our clients talk about.
Rocky Soil and Slopes
We plan for both, because around here you can't avoid either. Middle Tennessee sits on shallow rock, and plenty of Franklin yards run uphill. Our posts are set roughly two feet deep in high strength concrete, and hitting rock is treated as a normal part of the job, not a surprise. Rock fees are rarely charged; the only exception is a large boulder or excessively rock heavy situation, and we discuss that with you before work continues. It is never a surprise line item on your invoice.

Which Franklin neighborhoods does Heron serve?
All of them. We regularly build in Westhaven, Fieldstone Farms, McKay's Mill, Legends Ridge, and Cool Springs, along with the streets around historic downtown Franklin. Many of these communities have HOA design guidelines for fencing, and our detailed quotes and specs make the design review step easier: your HOA gets exact materials, dimensions, and placement in writing.

We couldn’t be happier with our new cedar fence! The whole process was smooth and incredibly fast. Jake was professional, efficient, and respectful of our property, and they completed the job in record time without sacrificing quality. The fence looks fantastic, and we can already see the difference it makes in both our privacy and the overall look of Our yard. If you’re looking for top-notch workmanship, fantastic quality, and a quick turnaround, we highly recommend Heron Building Co. We will definitely use them again for future projects!

The most professional and technically correct company I've ever used. This is the company you want to do your job hands down. There workers are machines and the owner is very polite and concerned about your needs.

Jake and Heron are the absolute best. Professional. Disciplined with the schedule. Diligent and thorough. Immaculately organized. I unfortunately have used others (one big named garden center and then a different fence company) and after using Heron will only use Heron for future projects. The fence exceeded our expectations! I am planning on using them again for a possible partial/decorative fence to delineate the boundary between property lines and add some architectural character.

I recently had Heron install a fence around my yard. They were extremely professional and friendly. They worked clean and did a outstanding job. The installers Logan and TJ did a great job on the fence in some extremely rocky soil, and some uphill grades. Jake came by to make sure I was 100 % happy with their work. I will definitely use Heron for my future building needs!

I hired Heron Building Co to fence in my front yard and demo & update an existing backyard fence. I struggled to find a fence company in Nashville that had the skills to build something a bit more custom & aesthetic - thankfully I found Heron Building Co! Jake and his team couldn’t have been easier to work with - they provided clear marketing materials outlining their process, immediately understood my vision & determined how to make it work for my space, and skillfully constructed the fence. They were quick to respond to any changes along the way and kept me updated on completion timelines when >100 degree weather made it literally unbearable to work long hours outside. The crew was kind, respectful, quiet, and kept the working area clean. Jake was also a great connector - providing us awesome recommendations for both a land survey & fence / deck staining & painting company. I couldn’t be happier with our fence and the overall experience.

Very glad we worked with Heron. Jake was terrific and flexible with our schedules and quick to return updated proposals as we iterated on what we were looking for. Logan and his team led the removal of our old fence and install of the new one. He was great to work with as they completed the work.

Heron Building went above and beyond to design and build our backyard fence. I am ecstatic to say that Heron Building over delivered on their end every step of the way. We will absolutely be using them in the future for many more backyard projects! Give them your next project ideas and thank me later!!

We recently worked with Heron Building Co to replace our fence and it couldn’t have been a better experience! They were great to work with, very responsive, and were so pleased with the final result! We worked with Jake on the consult, and Chris and Mason were our installers and they did an awesome job. I would definitely recommend this company.
Gracyn,
Heron Client
Absolutely fantastic experience with Jake and the rest of his team at Heron. Even the process of assessing the job and getting an estimate was thorough. It was clear what work was going to be done, and communication from the team through the process always kept us informed. Shout out to his crew members Logan and Rogelio Jr, who installed a beautiful fence and survived the craziness of our back yard!
